GALasm is a free assembler for GAL chips, such as the GAL16v8 and GAL22v10.
-Again, I won't take any credit for the hard work writing this utility. I only made a minor modification, and compiled it for Mac OS X.
Currently, the following chips are supported:
GAL16V8
GAL20V8
GAL22V10
GAL20RA10

Unfortunately, I don't have any working USB GAL programmer yet.
You know the problem: We have only a USB port on the Mac, no parallel port, no serial port.
...So hardware must be designed from scratch. Currently, I have an idea, but it might not work.

Argh! I found out that the galasm all of you have downloaded, do not contain any of the important modifications I made.
For some reason, it's been reverted to a very old version, with only minor fixes included, and my own sources doesn't even compile. :(
I've searched my entire harddrive, and found that the right version does not exist anymore.
Bear with me. I'll try and fix it all and put up a version 2.3, as soon as I can.
Version 2.2 does not produce a usable Jedec file, it's very close to the original Jedec file.
You'll have to move the stars (*) to the end of the lines, before it works in most burner programs.

I just finished a first burner hardware prototype.
The prototype is based upon an ATmega164p, and has no USB interface, but could be programmed via the ISP to burn the GAL.
-Now I just have to find the courage and time to try it out.
